Hi,

I am a new mum of an 11 day old.
I'm wondering if there are different calories recommendations for breastfeeding mums and if we can adjust on our profile.

Also any advise for gentle Activites post C-section.

Thanks Blaire

    Congratulations on your new baby!

I believe the breastfeeding option is only available in premium. As far as activities go, I would recommend walking to start with. It has been over 6 years since my last C-section, but I would wait for your doctor's okay before embarking on anything more vigorous than walking. You wouldn't want to tear any stitches

Check out the info in the second half of this thread:

Breastfeeding is not an option for your profile, but there are "food entries" for it that will increase your calorie goal instead of taking them away. You can also just manually set a higher calorie goal in the custom settings instead of logging it every day.

Agree with the above poster, take it easy until your doctor clears you for activity. Take the time you need to heal properly first so you don't drag the process out even longer.

Lastly, this group is active and has some great ladies in it.

    Take care, enjoy the little!

First, congratulations on your new baby! Second, my hat is off to you if you're even thinking about gentle exercise 11 days after your C-section. I walked around like an 80-year-old woman for a good three weeks or more after my C-section. As others said above, I would definitely check with your doctor about exercise before trying anything more than walking. Good luck and enjoy being a new mama!
