Switching to Athletic Mode for BFat %?

I’ve been working out hard and dieting for over 9 months. Weight has gone from 24lbs to 206 this morning. Now can see a six pack (still needs more definition). All that said my BF% as it registers on my Withings/Nokia scale really isn’t moving... the physique changes I’m seeing suggest that’s not right. I don’t want to buy a $3500 scale to get a very accurate number. Should I switch to Athletic Mode? Or is that a waste too. 2ndly I can get calipers but how would I know if I do that right since I’ve never done it before?

Those scales are really inacurate so that is probably why you see no change. Even on a different setting it won't be more accurate. Some gyms offer bf measurements. Also if you want a really accurate number you could get DEXA scan.0

You are looking good. You can see the results of your hard work. "Athletic Mode" on most scales will just give you a couple of percentage points. It won't make the device move right or left any faster. It's a terrible tool if you have more or less muscle than the "average" that is used in it's calculations. They can be off by as much as 8%...0

I changed mine to athletic mode and it did absolutely nothing. Not that I trust a scale that I stand on to tell me my BF% anyway. I was just curious.0
