On a couple of occasions this week I have not eaten all my permitted calories. I have exercised and had a left over amount between 500-700 calories on Monday and Tuesday but today Ive eaten 150 over. In the grand scheme of things, should I still lose weight if I eat my permitted amount over the week?

Yeah...you don't have a midnight reset button or anything. 1 Lb per week is a 3500 calorie deficit over the week. Weight management happens on a continuum.

Sure, lots of successful people here look at their calories on a weekly basis rather than daily.

Yes. I track my macro's. My rule of thumb is to hit my protein target daily and save up some carbs and fats for the weekends

look at your weekly goal, not daily.
