Nothing wrong with sugar or snacking!
What has helped me is pre-logging my food so I can see what I will be left with for the rest of the day if I eat what I'm about to eat.
It's a common misconception that when you want to lose weight you have to give up certain "bad" foods.
There are no bad foods, just bad portion sizes.
Eat what you love and love what you eat.
I still eat pizza, ice cream, fast food, etc...
The only thing I did was adjust the portion sizes to take in less calories.
Exercise is definitely awesome as well because it allows you to eat more.
Try and work in little changes in your life slowly

Also, just remember everything in moderation! I found controlling my portion sizes really helped, thats why IIFYM works for me0
