Hi,

I have been told I have Diastasis Rect, I had twins 2.5 years ago. I exercise 5 times a week and have googled what I should be doing to try and correct this without surgery. Has any one here corrected theirs by exercise? Or is it really surgery only? Thanks.

I don't have diastasis recti, but thought to post these videos account of a mum who'd closed 2 of her 3 diastasis recti gaps.

My understanding of this is, surgery does close the gap, yet fails to address the mechanics which caused the separation, from posture to breathing to exercise etc. At this point, I am thinking I will sign up with a sports medicine practitioner who is well versed in this field to "retrain my core" before I get pregnant to term.

I had twins almost 2 years ago and I have diastasis recti. Mine has stayed at 1 cm for almost a year (I started at a 4). I did the MuTu system which is a workout program designed for people with diastasis. I don't do it anymore, but I still avoid exercises with extreme abdominal pressure like crunches, etc. Hope that helps!
