Been using Aaptiv lately. With that one, the music comes with coaching. Best app around for beginners. Of course may not be appealing to advanced runners.

I use Pandora. I hate making play lists and hearing the same music over and over so that's why I like Pandora's radio station like capability. You feed it songs and/or artists you like and it will play those plus feed you other music that has similar qualities. You can always thumb up or down music to help it learn your likes and dislikes even better. And you can have a single station that plays multiple genres. For example, my "Running" station has a mix of alternative rock, metal, rap and pop and I can hear any and all of them randomly on my run.

Does anyone know of a free music app that allows you to download the music and listen offline? I don't want to use a ton of data listening to internet radio. I know you can upgrade to spotify premium for that, but was wondering if there was a free option.

If you have Amazon Prime I believe this feature is available for Prime Music. However, their base library is limited and there's a higher wrung of that service as well.

Try Hoopla if you have a library card
