Has anyone done this? If so how hard was it?
Thinking about doing it with my other half. Just been reading online about side affects of stopping cold turkey, doesn't sound nice lol. Just wanted to read some experiences with it

Nah I like sugar as part of my normal diet.2

I am going off of refined sugar right now. It is impossible for me to go cold turkey. I am having a sugary meal every X hours, and I extend X each time.
I don't believe that it's worth the effort unless you plan on being sugar free for long stretches of time.
I'm not a detox kind of person, I just want to know that I can go say 100 days without having a hint of refined sugar in my system.0 -
Stopped using sugar in myy tea and coffee a few years ago. Also stopped adding sugar to breakfast cereals a while before that.0

Nope. Sugar isn't toxic.3

Yes, I did in January 2016. Went cold turkey with no refined sugar, honey, etc for an entire month Also ate only at home & whacked back portions. Basically, a reset.
In June of 2016, I had one small dessert a week & found I had to fight cravings for 2.5 days afterwards each time, so I stopped eating sugar by choice.
Fasting blood glucose is 70-75. Triglycerides dropped from 202 to 81. Off bp and statin.
Sugar IS toxic for me. Triggers my cravings/eating, as does white flour & rice. I treat them as an alcoholic treats alcohol. I’m happy other people don’t have these issues, but I’ve tested it enough to know, I’m not one of the lucky ones.
Good luck, I did have some mild headaches off & on for 2-3 days, but was otherwise fine by Day 4.2 -

Having an issue moderating carb intake not the same as sugar being toxic4 -
I am on medicines that can trigger diabetes, so sugar is actually toxic for me. But I see your point as well, as I had not mentioned that in my previous post.2
