I've been using proactiv for a while now & I really feel like it's done nothing for me. I don't have bad acne. I actually have a worse clogged pore & al around just blah face problem with like moderate to mild acne. I just want a regime that makes my skin beautiful & not blah! Anything you swear by?

I used proactiv for a while too and wasn't overly impressed.
I absolutely LOVE Paula's Choice products. Customer Service cannot be beat and is super helpful when you are trying to figure out which products to use. Her products are reasonably priced and usually every other month or so there is a free shipping of some sort offer so I stock up on whatever I need then. (www.paulaschoice.com)
In addition to her own products, she has an amazing website that critiques any beauty products you want to check out (including skin care). I would check that before trying anything else out. It is full of great info: www.beautypedia.com
Hope this helps!!

I SWEAR BY Mary Kay. I started using it in my early 20s when I had serious adult acne. Used the formula for oily skin, and within a few months, acne was really cleared up and my face didn't feel like it was so dry it was about to pop off (my major complaint for most oily skin face stuff). I've been using it for over 10 years now, and their TimeWise formula (anti-aging but still available for oily skin as well as normal or dry skin) for about 5. I generally get told I look about 8-10 years younger than I am, and my face loves me!0

Angels on bare skin from Lush. Love it.0

Mine is simple also, Dove white bar love it doesn't dry out my face and keeps it clear :P0

I like Clean & Clear products the best, especially the morning burst scrub, but I also like St. Ive's apricot scrub for sensitive skin, and those L'Oreal ones with the little scrubber thingie.0

I use Nutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit - it smells delicious I also follow with Johnson's daily moisturiser - just the plain old tub kind.
I used to have terrible skin and swore that moisturiser was the devil - come to realise that no, moisturiser is absolutely integral and it just takes your skin a couple of weeks to settle into the routine and accept that it is now getting the moisture it needs and does not need to keep creating so much gunk to keep itself moist (sort of like a sluggish metabolism lol). I've also found that switching to mineral makeup has had a HUGE difference. I've tried a lot of brands (expensive and not) and find that the cheap maybelline 8g pots of mineral powder are the absolute best and my skin never gets clogged. Any time I use liquid foundation of any type, I pay dearly
Hope this helps0 -
My dermatologist recommended CeraVe. I've used it for the last year and I really like it.0

Cetaphil or CeraVe0

I use Lever 2000 and a Biore astringent on problem areas.0

I recommend St. Ives Green Tea Scrub & their matching cleanser.0

You don't need to buy a face wash...all you need is water and a Norwex cloth. It has bulit in silver which means it is antibacterial and kills all that nasty stuff on contact..guaranteed cloth to last for 2 years but last longer...the only thing that ever cleared up my face, shoulders, chest and back!
PS I do not sell them and am not representing the company in any way and do not make any commission..I just LOVE the products!0 -
I really like Korres. Oh, and a facial brush.0

I have been using Spectro Jel this year and it is the first time since i was 12 that i didnt have breakouts in the summer. Now i also have been working out and sweating way more than ever and eating better so i dont know if the combination of them are helping. Oh i also use a almond scrub after a hot shower maybe once a week.0

Cetaphil or CeraVe
I love Cetaphil! I have been using it for about 6 months now and it ROCKS! I use their moisturizer too.0 -
I hate ProActiv, Murad, AND Skin ID. The only thing that works out of that pile is the Skin ID Cleanser/Mask... Neutrogena makes SkinID and the same Cleanser/Mask formula is available on drug store shelves as Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser Mask. I only use that as a spot treatment though.
I used to have SERIOUSLY bad acne and my face is 95% better now. I won't say it's because of this stuff, though. What I did was stop washing my face. (seriously). I used to wash it twice a day or more because I was so broken out that I didn't feel "clean", but when I abandoned the ritual face washing everything sort of healed itself. I still wash my face in the shower and only sometimes at night, if I feel particularly oily.
On the occasion I do get a pimple (right now I have a small one on my cheek!) I put a little of the Cleanser/Mask on it and leave it on overnight.
Oh, and the facewash I use is Cetaphil. They make a facial lotion, too that goes on nicely. Cetaphil's really gentle. I like it.0 -

^this.
It's really good at cleaning out pores but I find that it does dry out your skin a bit so if you use it be sure to moisturize as well.
I've used so many products for acne, proactive made my skin uncomfortable. Some of the Oxy products weren't bad and neither are some of the clean and clear stuff. I prefer using st.ives though.
I used to have horrible acne for nearly 10 years (people used to make fun of me when I was like 10 for all my acne ) but now I barely get any acne just a pimple here and there.0 -
Clarins. Sounds like you need a face scrub as well once a week.0
