Hey, my name is Kim and I have been dieting and exercising for the last 7 weeks. I started out at 173 and am 158 currently. I am in my late 30's and somewhat active. I walk with a good friend 4-6 times a week 2 to 3 miles. I have found a few things helpful with eating and would love to know if you have any additional suggestions or foods that you find helpful. I use Waldenfarms salad dressings - I get them at Publix and they are calorie free, sugar free, and gluten free - they even taste good. I eat salad - or spinach salad with my lunch and dinner and having 0 calories really helps. I also love the Special K cracker/chips at 30 for only 110 calories. With a husband and 2 kids (11 and 17) there are a lot of food temptations at home.

i found a filling snack of nabisco tuscan herb crackers (2 for 60 cal) and cottage cheese . I found a really good dip mix lemon & dill, or chipotle from a sole enterprise called Diamond Valley Gourmet. tastes really good mixed in the cottage cheese and is a good snack for under 200 cal.0

I am new today and am hoping for the willpower to get started, slowly but surely. Am a typical yo-yo dieter who has lost large amounts of weight in the past, only to gain it back every time. Tired of my size, tired of how I feel, wanting to make a change. Exercise has been missing from all my weight loss efforts so I am hoping to work into it and make it part of my life. Wish me luck...0

Good luck. I have found that working out (even if it is just walking...briskly) can keep me from gaining and allow me to eat yummier things. Hard to motivate as many times a week as I should though.0
