In home "gimmick" equipment. I'm not talking a treadmill, elliptical or home weight set, but dumb things like:

Electronic Muscle Stimulators/The Electronic Ab Exerciser

Velform Sauna Belt

Ab Lounge/Ab Rocker

Six Second Abs

Shake Weight

Bun and thigh roller

Here's a rule of thumb. If you can't simulate the exercise offered with body weight for free and consistently do it, whatever product you buy will end up in storage. Not to mention, NONE OF THESE THINGS WORK!!!!!!!!!

The only real home equipment worth spending money on (if you intend to use it) is a pull up bar. It's hard to simulate pull ups on anything except a bar that can hold your weight.

I actually bought one of those ab chair things a few years back. It just hurt my back like hell because there was no support on it, was just a straight metal bar with a crappy seat on the end and a foot rest on the other.

I think the funniest looking thing is the full-on sauna suit.

I bought the Ab Lounge/Ab Rocker many years ago. It didn't seem to work or I just didn't use it right. After several months, it became a great clothes hanger in the corner of my room, lol.

How about those vibrating belts that are supposed to melt away your belly fat?!! LMBO!!

There is so many gimmicks out there!!

Anyone remember that "power" slide thing that was supposed to simulate ice skating?? It came with a pair of booties that you used to slide back and forth on it. LOL (I remember that one because my mom bought it used.)

I actually think this is a good form of exercise.
I haven't done it but saw it on the Biggest Loser and if you think about it, it really should be a workout.

If you've never been on one, it's one of the easiest ways to pull a groin muscle if you're unaccustomed to that type of workout. Think of walking on ice with tennis shoes.
