Logging food today to eat tomorrow

So I've got about 800 calories left after exercise but I don't like eating after a certain time can I log food on today's date and eat it tomorrow? Do people do that?

Well, sure you could do that. But why not just log it tomorrow when you eat it? That's what I do - I'll bank calories for days I'm hungrier or I know I'm going to be eating more.0

Because tomorrow is usually a rest day and I won't have the calories spare to eat it and it would put me in "the red"0

Your body doesn't keep a calendar. Meeting your weekly goal, as mentioned above, is perfectly adequate and allows more day-to-day wiggle room than trying to meet the same exact same target day after day.2

That doesn't sound fun or healthy. Maybe figure out a way to work on that?
Your body doesn't know whether you're "red" or "green" within a specific day. Your body cares about the consistent trends over time. So log them today and eat them tomorrow if that is easier for you. But it might be better to develop an attitude that accounts for the reality of how your body works.3 -
I don't know about why you'd want to log food today that you're eating tomorrow - doesn't sound like an accurate reflection. On another note be careful of how many calories MFP or your fitness tracker says you've earned - it can be misleading. Good luck!

You can do whatever you want. It is your diary for your benefit. If it makes you feel better then do it. You do not need to ask permission on how to use your diary. No one knows if you eat or do not eat what is in your diary.5 -

So I can remain in the green as I've said don't like seeing red numbers I've had my tracker long enough to know it over estimates by 200-300 calories per day so I always leave 300 left un eaten to compensate for that0 -
