HRM in way of situps

I have sort of a dumb question? Can a HRM be worn backwards and still be accurate? My instructions say to wear with the transmitter in the back, but when I'm doing situps or Pilates this causes a problem.
I have a polar FT7.

I have the FT7 and I'm pretty sure the transmitter is supposed to be in the front.. and not the back.
So yes, wear it in the front like its supposed to be and you'll be fine.0 -

This, exactly. The transmitter should be in the front.

That is how I ended up wearing it before there were any replies. So that is seriously hilarious, I have been wearing it backwards this whole time. I am going to have to hunt down the manual and look again, because I distinctly remember reading that the polar logo with white should be in the front.
Thanks for helping me figure it out lol ...I was thinking who the hell designed this? you can only use it for stand up exercise.0 -

I'm sorry but this has made my day.

You know what, I think you just misunderstood something in the manual. I think it says that the polar logo on the transmitter itself should be centered and upright0 -
I have a soft strap garmin HRM. My husband told me some people wear them round the back to avoid the bra strap issue, but I have an underwired sports bra and still manage to get the sensor in the right place straight under the strap. If I am wearing a soft cup bra I put the sensor under the band at the from. It is harder with a plastic strap sensor. It really is better to have the sensor at the front, though, it just takes some jiggling to get it in place and pick up your pulse.0
