Wanted: Jedi mind trick to encourage appetite.

Hi friends,
I’m looking to gain some weight. I’m highly active, high metabolism, small frame and have a VERY low running appetite. This combo has led to my muscles being eaten into since I don’t have much fat. I know WHAT i need to eat and I know I need to eat more often. What i don’t know is how to make myself hungry. If I try to eat when not hungry, I’ll just pick at the food and get nausea if I try and force myself to eat. I’ve tried CBD a few times with little to no results.
Has anyone one else overcome this. Feels more psychological than physical.
Currently having a 900+ cal protein smoothie for breakfast and then not eating again until evening, where I eat a large meal before bed.

Eat high caloric foods that have low volume (ex: nuts, haagen daz ice cream tub, olive oil, pizza, etc...), heck even a small bag of Doritos chips is 400g.2

In an addendum to what the previous poster suggested, put high-calorie condiments on everything. I.e., if you eat rice with your evening meal, put butter in it. If you eat lasagna, put 2 tablespoons of shredded parmesan on it. That way you can increase calorie intake without feeling like you're eating a bunch more food.2

At the peak of my last bulk I was eating about 5K a day. I usually couldn't do so just with food and would supplement with the type of smoothie you mention in your OP. However, I discovered that those types of high calorie shakes are pretty damn filling and would make it obscenely hard to eat for hours afterwards. My solution was to eat as much regular food all day as I could manage and if I was short of my calorie goals before bed I'd supplement then with one of those gigantic, thick as cake batter, super-filling shakes. I could always manage to choke one down and I just looked at the unpleasant experience as a necessity and "medicine" rather than as a meal to be enjoyed.2
