Will You Be My Paleo Friend?

Hi all!
I’m usually a very quiet user on MFP, tracking for me and me alone and keeping myself accountable. But I’ve noticed lately that eating how I actually WANT to eat—not just how I end up eating—is much easier with the accountability and “eyeballs” of others on my tracker. I’ve never done this before, but I’m reaching out now for friends as I start doing Whole30 / Paleo / Keto again.
I’m a 25 year old woman living in Chicago. The death of my mom in 2013 sent my body for a massive stress spiral and burned out my adrenals. I worked with a doctor and nutritionist and found that now I operate best on a mostly Paleo diet (and think/feel my best too!). The struggle of course is around comfort foods high in sugar and processed stuff. When my mom was dying I leaned heavily on comfort food and takeout to boost my mood—to the point of developing BED.
Anyway. A long way of saying I’m posting to befriend other Paleo/Keto folks—people who will walk beside me in making these choices meal by meal. Because diet is about the tiny everyday things—not the huge big shifts.
Lots of love from Chicago. 💚 Shelby

I am so sorry to hear about your mom! That’s awful!!!
But Keto worked great for me and loved it.. I’m in the process of starting paleo so I can’t help to much but it sounds a lot like Keto which is very simple!! Good luck on your journey!0
