So Jillian Michaels will be joining the Dr.s for the next season... thanks- because you weren't irritating enough on the exercise videos and the biggest loser and every other thing you poison with your "I'm better than you, you fat lazy slob!" attitude!! Thanks for ruining my favorite show!!!

    so totally agree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • She's like that for a reason. As she said ''l don't have a mean bone in my body but if l don't use my stern attitude, nothing will get done - and my promises won't mean nothing."

Agreed. Some people need tough love to get it done.

I happen to love Jillian. I've never gotten the impression that she thinks she's better than anyone. She seems to have such a positive attitude and has helped a lot of people lose weight. Including myself.
  • I'd rather listen to her than the other people already on that show...

Personally, I think she's full of it. She sells protein shakes with artificial sweetners, "magic weight-loss" type pills, and other bad things she tells you to stay away from. I guess it's ok if she's making money off of it...

I love Jillian Michaels, and The Dr"s. I am truly excited about the partnership! If you read up on her outside of the show, she is a normal woman who herself went through the same weight issues as an older teen. She has been there and knows that tough love is what's needed to get beyond just losing a number on the scale. We become overweight/unhealthy not just because the food tastes good...or "genetic"...there is always an underlying cause that is emotional...I love that she doesn't take excuses. This is serious, our bodies and our health.

I think she's okay. Some people need the in ur face approach. I don't get the 'I'm better than u' vibe from her. Guess its all about prespective.

well some love her and some don't. she cna push some people are little harshly. all depends on the person. some need her type of thinking and some need a little less . I happen to know 1 person who wouldnt benefit from her method b/c he never had a weight issues until he got a disease witch is genetic as his sister has it too. It can be hard for a person to deal with such things. I think her approach would make it even worse for him. You just have to look at the person for who they are and what there needs may be.
  • The thing about jillian is she used to be fat ...thats why i like her because she knows how hard it can be to lose weight i think she is very inspiring and motivating!!!

Hm. Great opinion! I personally love her. She pushes me just the right amount. I own several of her dvd's now, and my legs, thighs, buns, and arms are looking pretty tight, just from doing 30 day shred, and now ripped in 30. When I finish one of those, I'll move onto another. I'm not sure what credentials would give her a title on The Dr's, but okay. I also have a Lindsay Brin workout video, and she's too sweet. I don't think I've ever made it completely through her video. But it's good to see that everyone has an opinion, and they don't all have to agree! MFP'ers ROCK!

I can tell a difference in her videos! I've been doing 30ds, and today I did RI30, and the transformation of her body between these two dvd's is incredible!

I don't really have a big opinion on this either way, but I will say that regardless of how annoying she is...she usually does know what she's talking about.

I haven't met her in person, but her comments on facebook said she was looking forward to a gig that didn't require her to be yelling at people to help them. So, I'm at least a little curious.

I was unaware she was pushing weigh loss supplements. What is she pushing? I always thought she was all about fitness and portion control. I don't really follow her though.
