Who else experiences this?

Hey guys, so each time I try to loose weight & restructure my diet, I seem to think of food more & want to eat more. Does anyone else experience this & what do you do?

What diet are you doing?0

Are you cutting out a lot of foods? Are you cutting your cals very low to lose weight quickly? That can often lead to more cravings and obsessive thoughts.
We often try to steer people here to a slower rate of loss and less-extreme ways of eating and that's one of the reasons why1 -
I guess I usually try to cut out a lot to loose to more quickly but I’m going with the MFP process & checking everything I eat. Hopefully, it should help me better.1

Some things that have helped me:
- eating (relatively) low-calorie foods in high volume, e.g., vegetables, fruit, popcorn
- finding foods that feel very satisfying to me (and keeping them stocked), e.g., eggs, greek yogurt w/fruit & cereal, bacon
- fasting, i.e., eating only between 1p-9p
- planning out what I will eat
You can find things that work for you! Keep thinking and trying1 -
What helps for me is to make sure I don't get super hungry. And ESPECIALLY don't go to the supermarket while hungry. I've found my willpower is not strong enough for that so I instead prevent myself from being in that situation. Also at the end of the day right when I'm about to get super hungry I will eat a protein bar or something similar just to take the edge off and keep me from going "*kitten* it I'm ordering a pizza". Hope this helps!

You need to address the real problem.
When you change your diet deliberately, food will be more on your mind.
If you restrict your intake too much, you need to eat more.
It's natural to want to eat more even if you are eating enough.
It's natural to be more aware of your desire to eat more when you're deliberately aiming to eat less.
I eat enough, but try to not eat too much overall, over time.
I plan and eat a balanced and varied diet, and choose food I like.
I have to exert willpower sometimes, in order to not eat more than I need. Sometimes it sucks. I accept that's the price to pay for an abundant access to food.0
