Hello MFP world!!! I have lost about 47 lbs. over a 4 year process (lost 40 lbs, then 10, then gained 10 back, then lost 7....etc). I am now realizing the number means nothing........I am happy with my weight, but unhappy with my appearance. I would love to lose my belly bulge, upper arm flab, and inner thigh extras. I am very proud of my accomplishments I just wish my results were better. I am a runner (somedays its harder to get out than others) and I just don't know what else its going to take to slim down. I also "lift" and do video work out routines (p90x). I am thinking of starting to bike.
I am looking for some advice.........how do I lose the hardest fatty parts of the female body??? All I hear is cardio cardio cardio, its the last thing you lose............well I have been doing cardio for 4 years.....i don't know how much more running my boday can take (starting to have knee problems) maybe my diet needs an overhaul. Maybe a fitness trainer. Maybe a new fitness routine. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated......

On average 1200 calories a day0

I am definitely not an expert and I'm not at that point yet, but when I get there I plan to try this guy's advice.

He's really big into HIIT cardio. Instead of longer distances of steady running do 15 min of interval sprints (30-60 sec run followed by 60-90 sec walk) and then follow the intervals with 15 min of steady state walking.
My brother has been doing it for a week and I can see a difference and he was definitely down to the last little bit available to lose.0 -
I know it's not what you want to hear, but maybe you are just built that way. There is no way to pinpoint weight loss. When you lose, you just lose wherever it wants to lose from. Go see a trainer and get yourself a new routine but I think food is the biggest component of it. Of those 1200 calories, are they good calories? Protein intake good? How many of those calories come from white things? (pasta, rice, bread, sugar?)0

I would start with toning of the abs and arms 3 times a week. I am in the same situation and that is what I have been doing and I feel its working. If you want details of what I do let me know in a message or something...0

You need to combine strength training in your exercise as well...when doing cardio, you'll lose the weight & skin begins to sag as the body changes. Sit ups, planks, etc oh & weight training will help alot it also burns more fat!0

breakfast- multi grain cheerios for breakfast, half a banana, and skim milk.
lunch- whole wheat flat bread, natural peanut butter, sugar free jelly (or 3 slices turkey), carrots, yogurt or sugar free pudding
snack- 90 calorie special k bar, fruit, rice cakes
dinner- steamed vegetables, chicken patti (grilled or breaded), used to eat lean pockets but then saw how bad the sodium was----that may have been a big problem in keeping the belly fat all the sodium.
I try to eat "healthy" just guessing I am not doing it right......
Thank you for the advice everyone........to lose 40 lbs. I cut my fat intake down, but no longer stick to that.....just not sure what eating regimen to get into and what workout is going to be most beneficial. I wish we could choose where to lose weightbut I know we can't ....

if you are doing all of that exercise, that is not NEARLY enough food. Get yourself a body bug (or something of that nature) and find out what you are burning a day. You probably have yourself in starvation mode. Also, your protein seems really low for all of that exercise.0

I was considering a body bugg.....just kind of expensive, but is the rest of my life being healthy worth it----YES!! Just have to figure that out.
I do try eating a luna ba or luna protein bar after intense workouts---just hard sometimes knowing I am eating an extra 180 or 190 calories.
I only burn about 300-600 calories 4-5 times a week working out (sometimes 1000-2000 if I am having a good workout) , I thought the 1200 calorie intake seemed right.....I guess my lack of knowledge when it comes to how much I should be eating doesn't help ....0
