Hi everyone. I'm new to the community side of this although I've read so many helpful threads so far! So thank you everyone who has contributed.

I've been calorie counting just over a month. In my first week I lost 3lbs,then a steady 1lb per week for the weeks after. Its now been two weeks where my weight has stayed the same. I've been doing couch to 5k on week 7 now. It's also been insanely hot where I live (Manchester!) so not sure if it's maybe water retention? Is this normal?

Thanks in advance!

Weight loss isn't linear so it's totally normal not to see a loss every week.

Between the hot weather and the decrease in the walking intervals as you have started Week 6 of C25K will no doubt have contributed (there are also another million and one things that can cause water retention) as long as you have continued to log accurately, there is no reason to think you've stopped losing weight. It can take a couple of weeks for the fluid to flush out from increasing exercise intensity too, especially if you're continually pushing yourself that little bit harder every week.

Trust the process and be patient

Thank you so much for your response! I think you're right. Soldiering on! I must start celebrating my non scale victories more.

Yep, sounds like normal fluctuations to me
