Hello all. I’ve just joined. But am very confused with the calories given for various foods.
For example, I typed in cherry tomato and got loads of different calories for the same product. I don’t know what one to choose. Am I missing something here?
Many thanks
Michelle

Try looking online for approved USDA calorie values. Don’t blindly use the MFP entries as they can be wildly incorrect3

Use the listing that says "Tomatoes, red, ripe, raw, year round average". Most foods that have this naming structure and a green approved symbol are likely accurate.2

Thank you. I’ll try those suggestions. I’m in the UK. maybe I should try to find a UK based app?1

I guarantee you'll find more UK entries on mfp than any other app. I'm Australian but travelled around Europe for a while still logging, and I've BARELY come across foods that weren't in the database.0
