nah, the house was built in '63.
that was just a house being a house.
the storm that ripped out my Palo Verde tree, that was just a storm doing what storms do best.1 -

Long story alert!
About 12 years ago I moved to Owensboro Kentucky. I was staying with my aunt. I didn’t have a car or anything. I took a job as a server at Olive Garden. My aunt was so gracious to let me use her car to get back and forth from work. However, she warned me not to lock the door. She lost the door key, and only had one for the ignition. My first closing shift all of us newbies were told the rules. That is that, at closing time, once you leave the building, that’s it. They will not allow you back in for any reason. So, I finish my shift. I’m much later than everyone else, and there’s only a few cars left in the parking lot. I try to get in and realize that I locked the door. I tried everything to get in and it just wasn’t working. I knocked on the restaurant doors, of course they wouldn’t let me in. I had no cell phone, and no bearings of where I was. I walked up and down the street to try and find some place that was open that would let me use a phone to call my aunt. Nothing. So, I went back, and just laid on the hood of the car and waited for someone to come out. I was hoping the would have a cell phone I could use. Maybe an hour or so later the bartender walked out. He gave me a funny look and asked if everything was ok. I explained the situation, that old Chicago habits die hard. He looks at me stone faced and says “that’s my car. Is yours that one over there?” And gestures to the other white car 20 feet away. I turned about 900 shades of red. Quickly jumped off the hood of this mans car from what must have looked like me laying there trying to seduce him. Then apologized profusely. I didn’t even want to go to work the next day I was so embarrassed. The gentleman he was, he didn’t even tell a soul about it. I told everyone. I found it was less embarrassing making fun of myself for it.3 -

That reminded me of my wrong car experience. I was 17 I think and working at Revco (a drug store) and my girlfriend at the time was picking me up after close. So after I get done and come out into a dark parking lot, I see a car that looks just like my girlfriends. I didn't pay to much attention and just walked up to it and got into the passenger seat and looked over as I said something like "hey beautiful" only to see some guy staring at me kinda freaked out. I apologized and explained that my gf had the same car and got out. He drove off as fast as possible and about 2 minutes later my girlfriend showed up.3 -

That is hilarious. I’m glad I’m not the only one!0 -
While at a hibachi grill last night with a friend, the waiter spilled my bowl of clear soup all over me in front of four guys. I was so embarrassed, but I joked with my friend that if I personally didn't find a way to embarrass myself in front of the opposite sex, the universe would step up.0

A coworker got into his van this morning to come to work and upon leaning on the console was stung by a yellow-jacket that happened to be on the console also. His arm was swollen pretty bad all day.0
