My father passed away last week. He was a 74 year old amazing man who gave my family a perfect life. He died of a heart attack and this desease runs in my family as well as diabetes. After his passing, I’ve been feeling very vulnerable and worried about my health since we are very much alike, physically, and I’ve been overweight for at least 15 years (half of my life now).
Since I gave birth to my 6yo daughter I’ve lost around 30 pounds, just eating a little better and since I started working I at least walk a little more and move around which I think helped a lot. Still, Im supposed to lose at least 35-40 more pounds so I can reach a healthy weight.

My dad’s passing has made me realize many things and even though Im in pain I need to start working on myself asap, at least his absence can help me understand this.
Thank you all.

So sorry for your loss. Do what you can to take care of your health.....spiritually, physically and emotionally.

You're absolutely correct. When we lose a parent we reassess everything about our own life. I'm sorry for the loss of your dear father. I recently lost mine, too. It ain't easy but use this for positive changes in your life.
