Can't stop sweating after running!

This is kind of gross but I'm hoping someone has a solution (or at least I'm not the only one with this problem!)
After running it takes about two hours from finishing exercise to stop sweating completely - I always end my run with a walk to allow myself to cool down, hydrate well and wear breathable clothes but the sweat just will not stop.
Even after I've showered the sweat just keeps coming, specifically from my upper back. It's got to the point that I'm hesitant to go for a run before work because I know I won't have dried off in time to leave for the office :s I don't normally get a sweaty back so it's not a general hyperhidrosis type issue, it seems very exercise related (weirdly it only happens after running, not any other form of exercise)

I don't know if this is something I will just have to work around or if there is any solution? Maybe I'm not cooling down even though I feel like I am?

Finish your shower with a minute or two of really cold water. That helps me stop sweating. I also usually do a few minutes of stretching which cools me down better than just walking.

I've recently started taking doing electrolyte drinks after running to help me feel less spent in the afternoon when I run in the morning. I messed up once and took it before I went for a run and my sweat was much less than normal, it weirded me out (I'm a big sweater). Not sure if it matters if you do it before, during, or after running. But it could help with your problem.

This time of year all I take is cold showers after a run, and I mean cold! Temperature knob all the way on cold!!! It's also really refreshing 😎

Cold shower. I cycle and even in the mornings here it's 85* at 6 am lately. I just take a longer cold shower. When I ride in the afternoons when it's over 100* I've been known to dunk myself in an ice bath for 3-5 minutes.

I agree with others on the cooler/cold water in the shower. I start with warm and gradually move to as cool as I can stand. That helps the body adjust to it.

Another thing I do is wear one of those cooling headbands.

I don't take full on cold showers but I will put it on warm and then slowly adjust it as cool as I can stand. I definitely take cooler showers than normal this time of year and I'm typically a scalding hot shower kind of person. Otherwise it's the same as you, I take a shower and then continue sweating afterwards. especially my forehead.
