I'm partial to the Scooby calculator...but really, any of these calculators are just giving you a reasonably good starting point...it's all an estimate and ultimately, you make changes as per your actual results.4

Many thanks s and just a quick follow up question too incase anyone can guide me..
My exercise/activity across a week is on average;
2 heavy strength training sessions legs/ upper body
1 Bikram yoga class
Walking 3-4 miles per day average
Office job
What activity level would you put me at?0 -
London, Check out the Sailrabbit site. He provides a pretty good list of activity levels you can gauge from.
Personally, I would not count weight training or yoga in my activity level. Only my job and any cardio I do. But that's just me.4 -
Ahh ok
So I’ve set it to moderately active based on my steps/ walking hope that’s right0 -

And for an alternate view....
I do add lifting x 3 and yoga x 1 into my calculations. On real life data that would have me missing out on 200 cals a day not including them.
Neither are high burns, but both burn more cals than sat in the office, watching TV, or going for a stroll.
Cheers, h.

Ah ok In which case what would you class my activity level as to you think?0
-
I have just run my numbers through sailrabbit using the lightly active 1.425 setting and it gave me 4 cals less than my own data rounded out gives me. 1596 to my 1600.
I have a very similar routine to yours (but have been maintaining 9 years), so I would start with the numbers you get from sail rabbit using the 1.425 multiplier, and adjust according to your results and personal data
Any numbers extrapolated from a device or database are estimates. Pick one and adjust as needed.

I’m surprised your tdee is so low. I would definitely lose and be super hungry at 1596 kcal per day and I’m only 5.3
I’m aiming to maintain for now0 -

I'm 64, 5'1 and 102 lbs. it's pretty good actually. Much better than a sedentary maintenance of 1200 (MFP) or under (some other calculators) if I didn't move around so much and maintain a reasonable LBM.
Sad for a lot of people I know.

Ah ok I see! Yes far better than 1200 and you’re much lighter than me.
Thank you for explaining :-)
I’ve just run mine and it’s come up with an average of 1868 which is pretty much my average for the week since I’ve been tracking!
Thanks everyone I feel confident I’ve got the right numbers now xx4
