Just a general vent

I love it here, it has become my "main" message forum community. I just have a personal vent, maybe some can relate.

My main motivation for losing weight is for infertility. We have been TTC for 4 years, and going through testing/diagnosis right now. Anyways, I get SO depressed at the thought of being a working mom. Seriously I never wanted to be a "Career" woman. I always wanted to be at home with the kids. I know daycare works good for a lot of people, and if your family is like mine, we NEED my income. I am just so distressed about it, especially when I see others that get to be with their kids all day, before/after school, etc. I hate that the economy is so bad, and that I make more than DH, so I have to work. I wish it were different! Ok that's all lol

As a child care provider and educator for a school district, I can empathize.

Right now, just focus on getting healthy and conceiving. The rest will work out the way it's supposed to.

I wish you many blessings on your journey! :flowerforyou:

I regret missing my kiddos early childhood....heck I am still missing it and she's in kindergarten....but I am a single parent. Not working isn't an option.

I can empathize with you on the fertility side. I waited 12 years for my son. I went through the mill trying to get pregnant. I was lucky that I had enough saved to be able to spend several years with him before I had to go back to work but even then it wasn't easy to leave him, so understand your concerns. It didn't do him any harm to have a working mum.

He is a strapping 24 year old now and he remembers his child hood as happy and full of fun. I am sure your little one will be the same.

It is the quality of the time you spend with your child that is the most important. It is the exciting stuff they remember not the day to day. I am sure you will be a great mum and you and your husband will give your give your child a wonderful childhood, working or not.

All families are different, stay at home, working part time or full time we all figure it out somehow. <3<3<3

Now that it is 10 years later, I wonder how many kids she had and if she got to stay home with them.

Damn I got caught again. I would be the first to die in the zombie apocalypse as I obviously would not recognise a zombie if I fell over one.
