Not eating enough?

This may seem like a silly question, but my goal is to lose my last stubborn 5lbs. So MyFitnessPal says my calorie intake should be 1550......but if I’m burning 500-600 calories through exercise should I be eating those calories back?

Depends on if you want to loose it faster or not.

If you are set to lose .. then in theory you can eat the calories back and lose weight at the rate you specified

    But

Only if you are actually burning those 500calories and your activity level is accurate and your logging is accurate. Gym machines can massively overestimate calorie burn .. you might be less active than you think ... so eating an extra 500 kcal a day might stall your weight loss

Start with eating half the calories back and monitor your progress and up or down it to fine tune

Wonderful, Thanks!! I go to Orangetheory so it shows that I burn between 500-600 calories. I will definitely start with only eating back half that, and see what happens 1st!! Thanks again! 😊

Check your weight regularly and adjust your exercise or food levels accordingly
