What is always in your store cupboard

I was just wondering what everyone ALWAYS has in their cupboards.......

Unless I get round to planning my weekly meals before I go shopping I always end up eating the same thing.

So I was wondering whether people tend to have various items in their cupboard to make sure that a meal is always on hand, no matter how late you get in from work/gym etc.......

I've usually got pasta, rice, herbs and spices, tinned toms and soup.....and my cupboards are full.....but I honestly can't think what else is there. I don't think my store cupboard stocking is anywhere near as efficient as it could be!

    Dark chocolate, peanut butter, frozen berries, bananas, almonds, baby spinach, tomatoes, onions, flax and oat bran pitas, fat free refried beans, light sour cream, low sodium tomato soup, various cheeses, whole wheat bread.
  • I always keep some homemade soup in the freezer, in "my size" portions -- if I am making soup, I always make a whole bunch, then freeze some -- pot roast turns into soup the next day, I make chicken, mushroom and barley soup, stuff like that -- even though it's hot outside, the soup is filling and low calorie -- I am not one for canned soups, as I got spoiled on the taste of homemade! It's also always a good way to use up those veggies that are starting to go limp....

    the other go-to is peanut butter......the natural kind. Quick protein on wheat or multigrain bread.

    Tinned tomatoes, cous cous, garlic puree, dried herbs and spices, olive oil and some tinned beans in the cupboard.

    Bread, milk, cheese, onions, potato and cougettes in the fridge.

    Spinach in the freezer.

    eating & using less boxed, processed stuff. My cupboard is pretty bare, mostly dog food & treats. MY food is in the freezer & fridge - fresh veggies & fruit and lots of fish & chicken. I made a 16 bean soup yesterday.
    Also, I'm single & live alone. I have a friend who cooks more often & invites me to dinner. I don't eat at home every day & just don't keep a lot of food in the house - it would spoil or I'd eat it (binge) and neither of those is acceptable.

    Almonds, yogurt, peanut butter, whole wheat bagel thins, sugar free jam, lettuce (variety), radishes, green beens, asparagus, brussel sprouts, almond milik, sunflower seeds, string cheese, jenni 0 turkey breast, bacon wrapped beef filets, Fiber One 90 brownies or granola bars, 100 pack pecan sandie cookies, just to name a few.

    Hmmm... bags of pinto beans, I love homemade mexican food so I always have beans on deck. :)
  • thomas' everything bagel thins, fat free cream cheese...baked beans, turkey dogs... frozen super pretzels w/ mustard... bbq chicken breast lunch meat, various vinaigrette dressings, cucumber, WW pita pockets... red pepper hummus

    I work weird hours so often eat alone, I have lots of oatmeal I mix with peanut butter, healthy cereals, kid juice (1/3 juice 1/3 veggie jice, 1/3 water), instant couscouss, lots of canned veggies, I dont reallyl ike them but my son prefers them, sauces like marinara, pesto, pesto is great, protien powder (great for mixing with oatmeal and peanut butter and raisins to make protien bars), in my fridge i have greek yogurt, water, diet coke, iced coffee, fat free sugar free whipped cream, 3 or 4 veggies, 2 or 3 fuits, but then again I have one the barest kitchens around

    I do tend to do a weekly online shop and pick up bits when needed so we always have fresh salad and veg. I also buy meat as and when it is needed.

    I only buy bread at the weekend!

    In an emergency I could knock up a healthy pasta (or rice, or cous-cous) dish
