food measurements

I have noticed that, while looking up foods in the database, there are various measurements listed. Some of these measurements, have a "s" behind them. For instance; tsp and tsp(s), lb and lb(s), etc. It also seems that when I put in the amounts for each they produce different results for the calories and macros. Does anyone know what the "s" stands for and when it would be used?

The (s) is for if you have more than one. Like 1lb or 2lbs of meat. They should not produce different results -- i.e., 1tsp should not come up different from 1tsp(s).

The unit label doesn't vary so whoever entered the nutrition facts had to decide if they would use singular or plural for the units. I use singular for everything when I create an entry because I'd rather see (for example) 3 tsp than 1 tsps.

Different entries for the same food may have different nutrition facts entered. Nutrition facts can vary over time due to recipe changes, by region, or just because they were entered incorrectly.

Okay. Thank you. I have been entering say 5 servings of 1 tsp instead of 5 servings of 1 tsp(s). Guess I never paid much attention to how it comes out in once it's entered in. Again, thank you.
