I am going on vacation and I plan to stick to healthy eating and continue my weight loss.
I am looking for ideas of on the go snacks that can be eaten without much preparation and does need need a fridge.
Below is a list that I compiled:
Almond/Peanut butter packages
Larabars
Cliff bars (just 1-to use in emergency)
Almonds, cashews and dried apples mixture (weighed and measured per bag)
Plain instant oatmeal and splenda
Fiber One Brownies (2 -for REAL emergencies)
Tea
Gum
Any other good ideas for snacks? Thank you!!

depending on how long you will be traveling, some fruit will hold up without being refrigerated, i like to make my own trail mix, cereals, nuts, and a couple bits of chocolate, you can preportion these out. make sure you have a variety of different foods so you arent tempted, i know i always end up craving something salty or crunchy, so pop chips or special k cracker crisps will take care of that urge. popcorn has a lot of fiber will help keep you full or satisfy hunger until you get to your stop.0

what about jello cups!!! They are low cal and yumo!!0
-
Good idea-the chocolate might melt but popcorn will work!0

Ah-I can't handle the consistency of Jello0

Little boxes of raisins x0

Oranges
Apples
I like the 100 calorie snack packs i.e Chex Mix, Cheeze Its, etc0 -
I like tesco Mouthwatering Melon. They are small tubs of fresh Melon, 1 of your 5 a day and only 29 calories per pack. They're really tasty and they really take the edge of your hunger.0

Going to another country so fruit won't work (unless I purchase it there)0

Apples (not dried)
Oranges
Grapes (eaten that day, but later)
celery sticks
baby carrots (both of these of course within a small period of time)
rice cakes
nuts (almonds, walnuts, cashews)
I think you'll find that taking less "snack stuff" will mean you eat better - if the snacks are there, you may eat them just because.
Try and take just enough to tide you over for the travel, then get to a grocery store and get a few things for the vacation, then right before you leave, get a few more for the trip back.0 -
some form of protein powder (put a few servings in a bag) that you can mix with water.0

You might also want to try just packing some tic-tacs. They do the same for you as gum but less than 2 calories per tic-tac!0

Any recommendations for this?0 -
Flavor packets for bottled water
