Final 8 pounds to go

Hi, I've been a member since 2013 but never posted. I was 59 year old, just over 6 feet tall, and weighed 198 pounds. Since then, I've lost 30 pounds through a combination of eating much cleaner to reduce inflammation, calorie counting, and exercise, mostly Pilates (I love Pilates). I started with a counselor, who was terrific, but I've been doing it on my own for the past four years. I got to 166 before the 2017 holidays, but gained about a pound/month since November. Now I need to drop the lbs I gained back and push on through to 160. That sounds very skinny, but it would put me in a mid-range for BMI. And the last of the "beer gut" I've had since my 20's would finally be gone. (I also stopped drinking 10 years ago.) They say older men can't lose weight - bleh! I have new slim-cut suits to prove you can!

I have been a member of myfitnesspal since 2015 but haven't really followed it until now. Since April of this year I have lost a total of 31 lbs. Brought my A1C down to a 6.7 at 64 I am in the best shape of my life. I ride my bike several miles and then I go to the pool for resistance training.

I, too, am at the last stage of my weight loss. I adjusted my calorie deficit and just move more and the weight is coming off. Slowly
