Have to run around so much during the day. Anyone have any healthy snack ideas, to take with me in a cooler?

Hummus and baby carrot sticks? I love it, and they have little snack sizes of hummus you can buy.

Trail Mix (Mainly a nut/dried fruit blend)measured out into snack bags, make a great on the go snack. I keep this snack in my gym bag and pocketbook. When I'm out and about and feeling hungry I just grab a bag. This has helped me stay within my calorie goals and it gives me extra enegry when going to the gym

I totally need ideas! I am going to be starting nursing school in 2 weeks and I will be gone from home all day (I live far enough away from the school that I won't have nearly enough time to make it home like I used to do when I was at A&M and the bus ride was less than 15 minutes).

    granola bars
broccoli and cauliflour with balsamic vinegar
    Snap peas (any vegetables)
    Beef Jerky
    Trail Mix
    Fruit (apple, orange, banana, grapes)

Prepackage items and put in refrigerator, which makes it easy to grab and go...

I like the fruit cups that you can buy at the grocery store. They don’t need to be refrigerated which is nice.

I also will take a regular serving size in a sandwich bag of Meijer chips, pretzels, etc. I don’t really care for the 100 calorie packs because they don’t satisfy me. I’d rather have the real thing because I enjoy it more.

Any kind of fruit or veggies are good.

I pre-measure things and put them in a snack size ziplock bag.

Peanuts, baked crackers, LOVE hummus and veggies, low fat string cheese. I use a whole grain wrap and do a "grilled cheese" I also use a whole grain wrap and do peanut butter Roll

Here are some "far out" ideas that I read in an article

    Kale chips
    Sunflower Crunch
    Pumpkin chips
    Sacha Ichi Roasted Seeds
    Onion and Garlic Pistachios
    Salmon Jerky

I also make my own "trail mix" with Almonds + Cheerios + Craisins.
Sub Craisins for Raisins to reduce sugar.
Sub Almonds for Walnuts for Omega 3.

I keep packets of instant miso soup on hand and a coffee mug. Lots of places where I can get some water and nuke it. The low sodium variety is the best and the packets are small and easy to carry around. I get the kind with seaweed & tofu & green onions.
