I am having a hard time staying focus with my eating healthy habits. I have actually gained 12 pounds which is not good, I have a super busy schedule at work and so I have always manage to work out prior to work to have it out of the way. But lately it just seems hard for me. I need some type of motivation to get up on my feet. What is working for you all? What types of foods are helping you achieve your weight loss.....

You lose weight when you over time eat in a calorie deficit. But to be able to do that, which means "eat less, move more, for real, for a long time", which is the only way weightloss works, you need to accept how it works, and you have to find the easiest ways to do it. Weight management is pure maths, and it's a lot of mind work. The principles and the process is the same for everybody, but the practical application will be individual (it really is like that, not the other way around). So:
Things either have an effect or no effect, they don't "help". Don't rely on motivation. Healthy eating and exercise is good for you, but not what makes you lose weight. You can eat anything in moderation, and you should, or else you'll end up devouring everything. Make a plan that works with your schedule, not interferes with it. You may have to choose something over other things, but exactly what, is up to you to find out and decide.1 -
I can tell you what will not help you lose weight. Processed foods got to plan what you will eat on daily basis. Meal prep for the week whole foods only limit your processed food to 1% all the best1

Hi there
I've found that dieting is ok and you will lose weight but most people that diet will put the weight back on. I lost 90lbs with dieting but when I reached my goal weight I stopped and put 1/2 of it back on.
Motivation can only come from you, others can encourage you but you are the one that has to actually get up and do it. I have found that you have to make healthy eating and exercise part of your life style rather than something just to lose weight. Try and build both exercise and healthy eating as a MUST and part of your every day life.
What has worked for me is routine and planning. I plan both my food and when I'm going to exercise and stick to it. Having a gym buddy helps because you feel they are going and if you don't you are letting them down and the other way round. Mental strength is the biggest part of the healthy lifestyle, using the MFP app helps with this by sharing what have done and your progress and people's comments pick you up.
Food is tough because everybody's tastes are different, you the macros to help with food types, fat, protein and carbohydrates for each meal throughout the day. Also calories and make sure you are always burning more than you are consuming. Also try to include food you like eating to help you sick to it. Unfortunately it does take time to find dishes that work for you.
Long winded I know but the effort you put in now and have the mind set of a healthy lifestyle for the rest of your life wiil be worth it. You will see results with it and will take time and is not an instant fix. Build fun into both exercise and food and you will find it easier.
Good luck, feel free to add me for support and encouragement.
Be strong minded and happy, the rest will follow.1 -
What motivates me? Knowing it’s possible whatever your goal is you can do it. Also, taking it one day at a time.
Foods! Who doesn’t love food? It’s all about portion control- enjoy what you love but just a small amount at a time or a healthy alternative. It’s hard- that whole ice cream cone is delicious but so is froyo!
Add me and let’s stay connected 😊0
