i just went for a run and used my HRM. I then reset the HRM to zero but started the excercise button again and left it running while I had a sandwich, logged my exercise, and closed off my MFP diary. I then noticed that in the 20 mins I had burned 250 calories!! Should I wait until my hr is resting until I log the calories burned from exercise!!!

I don't. I cool down after my workout and once my heart rate is around 100-110 bpm I stop counting for MFP purposes then. My resting is 65-70 so I'd still be counting walking to the car, driving, going up the stairs and yelling at my kids to get up!0

The minute I am complete with any exercise I stop counting the calories and record those results! No more no less. Maybe that isn't teh best way to do it but it is how I do it! It has worked so far!0

I count my calories burned from the start of the workout until the end of it. Works for me so far!! I look at the other cals as what I burn during my regular day.0
