Just enter your weight and age into the treadmill before your workout to make it as accurate as possible, then when you get the calorie burn at the end, only enter 75% of it into MFP to be safe, and you'll be fine.0

There are a few on-line walking/treadmill calculators if you want to compare results. (Search for more)

I have found that the Cybex treadmills at my local Planet Fitness are close to the on-line calculator estimates. Remember if you keep your hands on the handle bars or pulse rate meter of the treadmill, the results will be higher than your actual burn. The calculation assumes your hands are not on the machine.
The on-line calculators allow for one speed and one grade, if you use one of the programmed workouts that change grade or speed your results will be different.
As AJ_G said, use 50% to 75% of the amount given on the treadmill, it isn't that far off.0 -
If I was walking on the treadmill (not incline) I would use....
Net Walking calories Spent = (Body weight in pounds) x (0.30) x (Distance in miles)
If I was running on the treadmill (not incline) I would use.....
Net Running calories Spent = (Body weight in pounds) x (0.63) x (Distance in miles)
Ellipticals are harder as they range from perfectly reasonable to outrageously exaggerated. Cybex Arc Trainer seemed to be very decent. A comparison to your running for the same duration at a similar perceived exertion level might well guide you whether to file the estimate given by your machine under fiction or non-fiction.1
