HI EVERYONE! Today I am going to Trader Joes to stock up on groceries. I was wondering if anyone has any delicious foods / reccomendations at Trader Joes?

So far I need to stock up on there uncured, black forest ham.. some whole wheat/grain bread and raw almond butter!

I heard there organic marinara pasta low sodium sauce is good too..

HAS ANYONE TRIED THEIR GREEK YOGURT? What greek yogurts do you recommend that's HEALTHY for a snack or breakfast?

I love TJ's reduced carb wraps!! I also love their frozen Seafood Blend mix...it has scallops, shrimp, and some other under the sea goodies in it.

Also, their yogurt cheese (jalapeno) is amazing!

For dessert, I love their Peach Push Ups.

I love the protein bars there called, "Powercrunch".

Enjoy! Trader Joe's is the best!

I like the sprouted barley sliced bread, its grainy. Makes a good sandwich. Spicy hummus is always good too, or any hummus, for a spread. I like that black forest ham too. I've become a big fan of their soy-chorizo, that stuff is great with eggs or beans.
  • Hi-

Trader Joe's has all sorts of wonderful food. I get the 2% greek yogurt (low fat & plain-TJ brand) and add in fresh blackberries. I also buy their fat free sour cream (TJ brand). No added ingredients. I also get their pasta sauce. It comes in a can but has no sugar added. Not sure of the sodium content. I also buy their organic whole wheat spaghetti and their frozen fancy berry mix to make great smoothies. Their natural peanut butter is good too. Oh, and if you bake, it's the cheapest place I have found to buy Almond flour/meal. Have fun shopping!

    I loooove Trader Joe's

So much that I used my blog as a space where I can remember yummy, easy meals.

A lot of pasta sauces are high in sugar. They have some good option with about 3g per serving, but not all of them so remember to read the labels.

My favorite snack is Trader Joe's Chocolatey Cats Cookies for People... on;y 9 g of sugar for 15 cookies.

LOOOOOOVE their 0% fat Greek Yogurt! They have a monster 32oz. container. Use it in place of sour cream/mayo, etc. I make smoothies w/ it almost everyday. They also have some flavored little containers of greek yogurt. Watch the sugar content, tho. I believe the Pomegranate one is lowest in sugar. I like that a lot, too. I often add some fiber cereal for texture and added flavor. All of the nut butters are good choices. I just discovered that their organic low sodium chicken broth is GREAT. It's the lowest sodium I've ever seen. Use it for boiling any grains (brown rice, quinoa, TJ's Harvest Grain Blend is good, too). TJ's is the bomb for ALL nuts and trail mixes. If you need a little sweet treat, they have some little ice cream cones and sandwiches that are pretty low-call if you only eat one or two ;-) Salsas are good, have varieties, and are low-cal. I love their different hummus dips, etc. in the refrig. section. I could go on, and on......
  • They have a great selection of hummus and I get mini pitas there too. I like all of their organic breads too.

I hate the TJ's Greek Yogurts. YUK! Just my opinion though.

I love their selection of coffee and tea.

In the frozen foods section, they have some decent Asian style quick and easy meals (Shrimp, chicken, beef and vegetarian options) for a quick and easy after work dinner.

Oh, and I love their selection of Southwest inspired items!

I like their organic frozen brown rice, lean ground turkey (can make some mean taco meat :) ), some of the salads (although they dropped out of "lineup" my absolute fav Spa salad a few months ago), prepackaged "hand full of" unsalted roasted almonds. I actually try to stay away from ham, but buy a considerable amount of their turkey (either their brand of Columbus).
Vanilla Almond milk is great in shakes too (keeping away from dairy products)! :) I buy their eggwhite products as well as think thin protein bars.

    Good luck!

PS. "Just chicken" grilled chicken strips.
