The size small pants I ordered a couple weeks ago are loose. I washed them and tried them on this morning and I’m gonna have to send them back for the x-small. I’ve never been an x-small.17

Last week I was less out of breath than the instructor during my 'STRONG' by Zumba workout. This week I had the same experience with BodyCombat. I have turned from someone who got hot and tired walking a couple of hundred yards, to someone who finds high intensity gym classes insufficiently challenging.
Would it be a terribad idea to do STRONG and BodyCombat back-to-back next week, do you think?18 -
I have been struggling with my fitness/eating. I decided to make a health jar, When i walk a certain amount of eat well or go to the gym that day or whatever goals i set get done ill transfer a stone into the big jar. A Physical reminder of the work i put into my wellbeing Happy i got to make a craft and happy to have something new to focus my energy into to get me back on track. Going to get a different color stone specifically for good eating days, Will hold me more accountable on my main struggle to not have a sad amount of stones in the jar

This is a cool motivation, I really like the idea of transferring the stone for reaching a goal/W/O, etc.
We all have down days, my work has been crushing my soul for weeks now and I find it hard to hit the gym as well.

Thanks Im hoping to add it into my daily routine. Things like walk 10k steps...if i hit 16k it will motivate me to do 4k more. I may eventually get stones in different colors for all my problem areas (food/gym mainly lately) So i have an extra push to do those or face the sad lack of that stone color xD Im motivated by stuff like this, Plus i really missed crafting3 -
@JaydedMiss I like your idea. I love crafting - so good for relaxing. I did something similar. I made myself jewelry. I added a bead for every work out and made a necklace and a bracelet. Now I am actually decorating my treadmill with them!6

Thats such a cool idea lol. I did this because i really find the glass stones calming. Was hoping to think of a way to use them as a progress meter. This is what i came up with. Then at the end of each night i get to wind down and relax touching my stones and adding them. Im not sure why i find them so calming the smooth cool texture just does something to me6 -
I have a stone jar for my weight loss. One was filled with the number of stones to goal--then ultimate (maybe) goal. The obese stones were red, the current stones are blue and the goal to ultimate are green. I LOVED getting rid of the red stones!!!22

Not getting the tortilla on the side. Getting a salad first. Non-fat milk instead of whole milk. Not eating the whole bun. Just a lot of cuts here and there that have been making me feel good about how I'm treating myself.22

Tonight was my body combat lesson. When I started I hated to look in the mirror. Tonight I looked in the mirror and realised I am a different shape to when I started in January and I can also keep up with the class now. I still look ridiculous trying to do some of the moves though!19

I would look into HIIT workouts if the classes are not challenging enough. My trainer has some HIIT routines that are only 20 minutes long. Nobody complains about lack of a challenge.

I've been doing the T25 workouts and don't need to use the modified moves as often.14

I had my first person comment that I look slimmer. She knows how hard I've been working, and we go to the same gym. It feels good!19

Knowing when you are manic can be a victory in itself. Getting through panic attacks is great also. I sometimes think it has to do with the confidence in other parts of life that comes with weight loss. Sometimes the swings are going to happen no matter what and there isn't much we can do. But attitude helps me get some past triggers.
10 seconds is not bad at all; my first planks were much shorter and I still don't do it long.7 -
Swam for 92 minutes this afternoon. I don't mean just 92 minutes in the pool; I mean 92 minutes of continuous swimming - slow but steady - with no stopping/standing/floating. My longest yet.25

Hit a personal record on my deadlift (205lbs) because apparently I can’t add and lift weights at the same time, and I accidentally loaded too much weight! It seems I’m stronger than I thought.20

haha, I used to do Combat follow by Pump - that was awesome! Also done Combat followed by Attack, but am not an Attack fan - but the cardio side was fun!

Unfortunately individual workouts tend to bore the pants off me I'm also currently a student and living off my savings, so a bit reluctant to shell out on a personal trainer - especially since the last one didn't really listen to what I told him I wanted when he created my routine, and then mildly creeped me out by winking and giving me a thumbs-up every.single.time he saw me...7 -

I decided this week would be the week I started my strength training. Low and behold, it is now my TOTM. Yet, I am still training. It's taking a lot of blood, sweat and tears (quite literally - sorry guys!), but I didn't make the excuse to wait it out. I pushed through and I feel all the better for it.25

I politely declined impromptu Starbucks this morning. I think I might have been able to fit it into my day, but I would have spent a lot of time calculating and they had already taken everyone else's order, so I just said no and feel much better about that rather than guessing and the drink being higher in calories than I thought it would have been.17

I got a new belt for my uniform a couple weeks ago. Opened the package and thought - NO WAY will I ever fit into a belt that small. It fit - at the 1st hole. Yesterday when I did it up, 2nd hole. I'm just so darn happy.21

I have had some mild health related issues, I don't sleep well, I am taking antibiotics. This morning I forced myself to go to the gym, I tried to keep up with my aggressive treadmill pace that I have been doing but I couldn't do it. I went 40 minutes pushing myself but I had to stop. I felt I didn't want to give up, I used a much lighter, easier pace until I burned about the same number of calories as I usually do.28

I have a business suit that I need to fit into by Sept. 5th. A month ago, I couldn't get the skirt to zip up. Today, I was able to get it zipped up! I'll try the jacket on in a few more days... just in case it doesn't fit yet, I want to enjoy the feeling for a couple of days, of that suit skirt actually fitting.

Last night my husband and I went out to a high end French restaurant for our 25th wedding anniversary. One of my major NSVs is that I try not to celebrate every occasion with food anymore, but this was an exception - this town offers very little to do in the evening other than eating, if you don't like to drink, which I don't, even if my diabetes didn't make drinking problematic. So we knew we wanted an exceptional meal, but without a ton of carbs or calories. My husband called for the reservations and the chef asked if it was a special occasion, and he said, "Yes, but my wife's a diabetic so no little cakes or whatever." So the chef said, "I can make you something special - does she eat no carb, or just low carb? Does she like chocolate?" YES I like chocolate.
Anyway dinner was antelope with beet pasta (it turns out I really like antelope, which tastes like venison only not gamy and very very tender), and instead of the pasta I had green beans and asparagus and a few roasted potatoes. Topped with shaved truffles yes please. And roasted hearts of romaine with some sort of garlic aioli. And the chef brought the bread basket around personally and said, "I made these for you, they use walnut flour." And dessert was a chocolate soufflé made with a little agave. When I tested my blood sugar after the meal it was 93! I will definitely take that. I had banked 1000 extra calories from my 10k run two days earlier, but it turned out that I didn't even need to use them. So that's my first NSV, I feel like I've got this being a diabetic and watching my weight on special occasions stuff down.
We went by the little church where we got married and took a couple pictures of ourselves. When I got married my wedding dress was a size 10. The dress I wore last night was also a size 10. Vanity sizing has come a long way since 1993 when we got married, but I only weigh about ten pounds more now than then, which is amazing considering that at my heaviest I wore a size 28 and weighed 125 lbs more. So one of my NSVs is that I could probably fit into my wedding dress from 25 years ago if I had a really good corset. I can definitely fit into the little brocade dress I wore leaving the church, because it's in my closet still. And I tried it on, and it fits!
My third NSV is that thanks to joining me at the gym and running with me, my husband, who was previously starting to get a nice round Buddha belly, now looks pretty good himself. He's hoping to lose about ten pounds and gain some muscle, but he's working out and taking care of himself and headed in the right direction.
