Hola!
I've just started a new cardio/lifting regime with my personal trainer. I'm eating more than I ever have, I've got more energy and I am SO excited to burn the last of my fat.
A couple of questionssss...
How long am I looking at getting my body fat down from the 25% it is now, to around the 20% mark I am aiming for? Just as a rough estimate?
Any extra information you need please just ask.
Thanks!

It's really hard to determine how long it will take for BF% to reduce to a specific number, since there are so many variables and most means of measuring BF% are iffy.
What is your height and weight, and what is your goal weight? Or are you recomping, so trying to maintain scale weight? How much of a calorie deficit are you at?5 -
No way to know. We do not know your maintenance calories, your current calorie deficit, your exercise regime, etc, etc, etc.5

Obviously it's never this simple, but as a starting point reference...
I'm just using these numbers as a reference since you didn't provide your actual numbers...
If you're 135lbs @ 25% BF, that means you've got about 34lbs of fat and about 101lbs of non-fat.
Getting down to 125lbs @ 20% would mean 25lbs of fat and 100lbs of non-fat, which is fairly reasonable.
So to drop 10lbs while focusing on fat loss and muscle retention, you'l be looking at somewhere in the neighborhood of 30ish weeks.3 -

You're a hero! Thank you!
I've ditched my scales at home but I'm doing a monthly check so I'll see how it goes!0
