I'm going in tomorrow for a Biopsy. The (whatever) number for my Liver Enzymes were not supposed to exceed 40, and I came in at 122. Anyone else out there with this or knowledge of this to buddy up and support each other?

Hmmm I've never heard about it. I was told recently i have an enlarged spleen and I didn't like that. :( Did the doctors tell you anything about it at all?

My friend Heidi had the same... I was told that mine was on its way.... hang in there!! :-) It is somewhat reversible, but can be made worse...

My daughter has a fatty liver. In fact, they say it's twice the size of a normal liver. Can't TELL you all the tests they've run on her and everything comes up normal. It hurts when she eats and she always looks pregnant because it pushes the other organs out of place.
  • Thanks for the help. They've been saying the enzymes were elevated for years, but they shot up out of nowhere. I have the biopsy and a ton of blood tests tomorrow. We'll see where it goes. Vanks, I am sorry to hear that, that sounds like a lot to go through.
  • I actually just found out last month that I do have fatty liver. My doctor described it as being too much fat accumulation on the liver. My doctor said that i have to lose like 25 pounds. If I do not, I can get cirrhosis of the liver, and potentially die. They also say that diabetes and fatty liver go hand in hand. I also just found out that I do have diabetes too. Nonalcholic is supposed to be worse than if you got it from alchol.

My doctor said the same (levels were just a bit high) with the same recommendation - lose weight. Good luck with the tests!
