Run through the decision map. What would you try next?1

If you are gaining weight, then you are eating more than you think. You cannot gain weight by not "eating enough." How accurate is your calorie counting? Do you use a food scale and do you pick the right entries from the database?12

i should clarify ive been between 145 and 151 for over 3 yrs0

How much weight have you gained? How tall are you?0

Consider your qualify of life. Any stress at home or work? That can be a contributing factor. How long have you been monitoring your diet and exercise. It does take a bit longer for females to see any weight loss, but if you are exercising, you should see reduction in body measurement ~30-days. Also, consider what type of exercising regime you are doing.2

Do you use a food scale to weigh everything that passes your lips?1

no but i count every thing that goes in my mouth including water i even add extra just in case0

If you've been in the same zone for that long, you need to eat less.4

Weight is a range, not a static number, and six pounds is a normal range of weight fluctuation for someone eating maintenance calories. Get a food scale and log all of your food. Most people are surprised at how poor they are at judging portion sizes.5

You need to weigh everything, including whatever you eat on the other day of the week. If you let yourself eat whatever you like on that day you could easily be wiping out any deficit you have11 -

you're eating more than you think1 -
With hypothyroidism the weightloss is slower. You need to be patient and start weighing everything.0

Gotta use a food scale whoever possible. Recently I used my scale to weigh something I had calculated some time ago with a measuring cup.
I’d been undercounting breakfast 30% a long time.2 -

And?
The fact remains that if you've been in a 6 pound range for 3 years, you are eating at maintenance. If you want to lose weight, burn more calories (i.e., move more), eat less, or do a combination of both. If you don't want to do that, don't expect to lose any weight.9 -

This is an analogy at best. My black lab gained several pounds rather quickly, was diagnosed with no thyroid, went on meds, lost 6 pounds within 6 weeks. This is with no change in diet or exercise. As a dog, she wasn't able to make excuses. She's now at a healthy weight and has way more energy for hiking and playing with our new pup. I know with people it takes awhile to get the right dosage of thyroid meds, apparently not a easy as with a dog, but like @malibu927 said, if op's meds are right, the only reason she can't lose is she's eating too much.
