What do you powerlifters, strongman, crossfitters do on competition day with regards to food? Big meal 2 or 3 hrs before and carb snacks between events? Not weight cutting

They have their routine down (or should) prior to the competition. Powerlifting/ strongmen just have a high intake in general but may eat some more carbs and or cals in general. Optimally, carbohydrate rich sources, but some of these people you see competing just focus on crushing calories throughout the day

Done 4 pl comps...I always eat my "normal" breakfast (eggs or sausage and toast). I bring snacks: peanut butter sandwich/gummy bears. I usually have a couple of quick bites of snacks.

I wouldn't suggest trying any new foods on competition day or overeating. Puking on the platform would be embarrassing.

ETA: Once, I saw a guy squirt honey into his mouth between events.
