Gaining weight?

I’m trying to gain some weight and wondering if I should start going to the gym?

    If you want to gain some muscle weight rather than just fat, following some sort of progressive lifting program is necessary.... You may be able to do this outside of the gym, but at some point you'd probably need a gym setup of some description.

    You can absolutely go to the gym while still gaining weight.

    Exercising has many benefits for your health beyond weight change, and if you are lifting consistently then more of your weight gain will be muscle.
