I do keto for migraine control, it's pretty easy once you get the hang of it.1

Accept it, don't beat yourself up about it, make a conscience choice to get back on the wagon and you are good to go. Repeat as necessary and just be honest with yourself.1 -
Hi all. I started Keto when it was called Atkins New Diet Revolution. Not Atkins from the past 5 yrs or more . Dr Atkins when he was alive promoted real foods, meat veggies and healthy fats. I started in 2004 at 238 lbs 5ft4 and on 9 meds just diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
After 6 months I had lost over 60 lbs and reversed all my health issues, no meds left.
I got a Keto pregnacy (had been struggling with fertility) and I maintained that weight loss thru pregnacy (never gained a lb) and after for 7 yrs. So in 2011 I decided I needed to get the next 30 to 40 lbs off. I saw some weight yo yo creeping up and down. I went strict keto and dropped 20 right away. Then I added some healthy grains in and counted calories until I hit goal at 140
So that's 100 lbs loss controlling carbs.
I had a hysterectomy in 2012. I still maintained for 2 yrs but in 2014 when my hormones really caught up I started gaining even doing keto. I was 41 and my body just didn't respond as well to keto with high fat and calories. I started watching calories too but I still kept falling off.
Now after gaining over that4 yrs 50 lbs back I've come back to keto this year but I decided I had to face the fact I'm one who has to watch calories too.
I've lost 32 lbs since may 5
The magic key for me was intermittent fasting plus keto. I eat from 2pm to 7pm (usually one large meal at 2 and something smaller at 6)and that's it. My carbs are 20 or lower and I try to hit my protein and usually my fat too.
If you're struggling, do strict keto one week and slowly close your eating window till you're at least fasting 18 hrs. It's not that hard. I drink back coffee with approved sweetener in the morning, I drink water and tea all day. 2pm I eat huge salads because I'm hooked on them with yummy avocado's and good meat, yummy sour cream or ranch made at home. I eat wings, low carb pasta made out of cheese (Mozzarella, cream cheese and konjac root powder) I eat baked chicken. I'm not a huge veggie person but I love Cabbage and now salads with cheese and avocado.
I do know carbs won't work for me. I have realized I'm allergic to them and I break out all over with FAT haha. Good luck. GOD BLESS5 -
I am new to Keto and went into it pretty easy. I just started counting carbs today after a week of adjusting to eating fewer carbs. I'm at 35 carbs max per day this week and next I start my mac 20 carbs per day. I'm pretty notorious for quitting a diet by day 2 but I've done really well on Keto so far. I'm not craving anything and I'm not feeling like I'm starving. I have the biggest issue with eating a meal first thing in the morning so I make high protein smoothies from coconut milk, whole milk plain Greek yogurt, pb2 powder, dark cocoa unsweetened and coconut oil. It keeps me full but I figured out the carbs are pretty high (21 grams) so that may be out. I started counting calories today as well. Last week I lost 8 pounds but I think I ate too many calories early this week so I'm keeping track now. I would also love to find others who are going the keto route to network with. Feel free to add me if you want a buddy!1

Do you feel achy or sick when you eat too many carbs? I've noticed that I do, even after almost 2 weeks on the diet. I had pizza the other night and felt really awful physically after. Can anyone else relate?0 -

Can anyone else relate? Yes I feel sick but the trick with Pizza is just eat the toppings but still track everything
