Contrary to common belief, weightloss isn't very complicated. To lose weight, you just have to eat less. You can eat less of anything, and portion out your calories any way you want. What other people eat, might not be what you like to eat. What you like to eat, is important to you and to your ability to adhere to eating less.

It makes no difference what cultures food you are consuming. It comes down to calories for weight loss.

    yeah, what they said.

But isn't Indian vegetarian? It would be pretty difficult to eat low-carb or to do carb cycling while eating vegetarian.

What is your purpose for carb cycling?

If it's weight loss, then just eat the way you normally would, but stay within calories.

I tend to have one day per week where I eat 300-400g carbs and the rest of the week it's around 150g carbs but I do it mostly so I can have a sweet treat on that higher carb day.

Indian food is not vegetarian. Some Indians are vegetarian due to religion, region, or cost.

You lost 20 kgs by being in a calorie deficit - clean eating has so many definitions it practically means nothing.

You continue to lose body fat by continue to be in a calorie deficit.

As you are lighter now, your maximum weightloss rate is lower.

You can eat anything you want, including rice.

My suggestion would be patience and eating food you like and doing exercise you like.

Reduce rice intake and replace with quinoa or more protein.

You realize that a serving of rice and a serving of quinoa are pretty close in same carb counts right?
