Body Bugg is reading 1500 calories being burned during Turbo

Does anyone know if this is possible? I have been recording 600 because others have said that's about what they have burned. Why would the BB say that many calories, it is about 5000 steps also. Thanks.

I use a bodybugg and I get about this, maybe less when I do Turbo Fire and am busting my butt.

Have you entered your latest measurements and weight into the MyApex site? That, combined with your efforts are what's feeding how the bodybugg is doing calculations. The smaller you get, the lower the burn amounts - and I've seen mine trend that way, and I think the BB is pretty accurate.

I would register those amounts and then don't eat back all of the calories and watch how much you lose. That will really tell you how accurate it is!

I don't have a body bugg, but maybe it is adding that to whatever calories you would already be burning?
  • Yeah, I'm not sure what I entered and my deal with BB has expired. Not sure I could go back into there and see what I had entered.
  • Skyls, I put the BB on this morning right before my workout, so as to mesure how many calories I was burning.

When I had my BB and would to turbo kick I would only burn about 350-400 cals and another girl in the class would burn up to 800. I thought I would work just as hard as she did. I think it's different for everyone. But 1500 does seem extremely high.
