even if im hungry, i can just not eat if i decided to. i always do but ive noticed i have huge willpower, i could hold it off as long as i wanted too and im wondering if its too much willpower.
if i was dumb, i could easily end up with an eating disorder with this kind of willpower!
has anyone else found this? hope it made sense, ha!

Here here. I'm pretty obsessive about not eating unless I absolutely have to...even when I'm hungry. Which like you said, is great...but at the same time it's not. I think my issue is part not EVER wanting to be a fat girl again, and having a fear of food. Just know you're not alone - I understand what you're going through!0 -

yeah i know! its better than it was because im now more about nutrition than weight loss and stuff but yeah. nice to know theres someone else0 -
some people dont have an appertite, my brother quite often forgets to eat (something I can never do!) so it could just be how you are, as long as you do eat and stick to healthy foods I should think you'll be ok, I am not a doctor though its just my opinion. Take advantage of the fact that your willpower is so good and eat a super healthy diet as a result!0

Even tho im a big chap I totally agree, Unfortuantly I've gotten to the point where I dont actually get hungry anymore, and could go(and have went) days without eating, Major problem with this is, your body goes into stavation mode, and anytime you do eat, it instantly starts trying to convert it to fat stores, because its not sure when the next meal is coming. I have to physically make the effort to ensure im eating correctly. So yeah your not alone, and I can relate0

I think I understand what you are saying here, this is my particular take on this.....I am a yoyo dieter and either completely in control or completely out of control. I love my control and will power right now, I have this iron will, I enjoy the power, what I have never been able to do is harness this over long periods of time. With the help of this site I am hoping level out the deep contradictions that are me.0

Since going paleo my appetite is not as it was. I'm pretty pleased with this and I'm certainly not going to force myself to eat when I'm not hungry but I've also noticed that if I'm upset I will hold off eating. I used to eat a ton when I was upset, which is why I'm fat lol. But I do tend to hold off eating now - I'm not sure if my hormones have balanced out and now I respond to stress properly or whether I have a problem. Since I need to lose weight I'm not worried at the minute - but I'm always conscious of whether I'm eating enough and I do feel guilty if I don't.0

Just thought I'd chime in because (like aspeakman) I deal with this daily, and have to force myself to eat because my appetite is non-existent and it's like there's some weird resolve to hold off from eating despite knowing that it is BAD FOR YOU! It definitely can turn into a fear of food, So just be careful and make sure to fuel your body and you will be ok!0
