Body weight vs body fat

I'm currently 205 and my scale says I'm still at 28% body fat. I feel like that's alot for my weight. Any tips on how to focus on losing body fat instead of weight? It's hard for me because I have a newborn and work nights as well. I average 4 hours of sleep so I haven't really been doing any workouts just eating healthy. But I walk a lot at my job.. any tips anyone? Thanks

The scales that measure body fat may not be accurate.

Those home scales are really not that accurate when comes to reading bodyfat. Actually, all bodyfat readers(dexa, bodpod, calipers) have some sort of inaccuracy to them. I would go by how you look in the mirror.
How tall are you?
No sleep, new baby all take a toll on your stress level. Hugs and congrats on the new baby.1 -
Sounds like you understand that eating at a calorie deficit will result in weight loss. Most of that loss, especially when you're active in some way, will be fat loss. Any exercise you can get, especially strength exercise, will reinforce the likelihood of losing relatively more fat compared to lean tissue. Your walking at work will make some contribution. But even without special extra exercise, most of what you lose will be fat, as long as you don't try to lose crazy fast.
Pretty soon, that tiny baby will be at a stage where he/she is more contented when being carried around, rocked, etc. Once the baby can hold his/her head up safely, she/he will enjoy being lifted way up in the air, being gently jostled while being held in the air, going up and down in the air while daddy does daddy + baby body weight squats, etc. I'm not exactly joking here!

Seriously: Just keep your eating in line (sensibly moderate calorie deficit, decent nutrition), move when you can, love on that beautiful baby like crazy, and you'll slowly/gradually lose weight, and most of that weight will be fat. Admittedly, the baby love makes a minor contribution to the weight loss, but you wanna do it anyway, I'm betting.
