Well here goes. I keep telling myself..."I can do this, I can do this". I'm 42 and single with no children. I am 4 foot 7 (yes very short but not a midget). I weigh 150lbs..which is too big for my height. My goal is to weigh 115lbs by Thanksgiving. I have a full time job and a part time. The part time is only EVERY OTHER weekend. When I get home in the evenings I usually just "plop" right on my couch and watch TV (shows that I've recorded). This time should be spent at the gym but I'm just so tired. I'm not a morning person..so going too the gym in the mornings is not in the equation. I have GOT to start packing my gym clothes and go RIGHT after work. I have a membership at a gym...$10/month...and don't even go. Call me LAZY! That's so embarrasing to say. LOL! I'm a very picky eater and I HATE water. There are some veggies I JUST CAN NOT eat and makes me 'gag'. I eat out most of the time..but that's coming too an end (partially). I can do this..I know I can.

Hi, yes you can do this. I am 5'0 and 180 lbs so i know the feeling about being to big for your height. Have you tried flavoring your water with Crystal Light or something like that? I am like you and don't like straight water. For awhile I couldnt' drink water because it actually gave me heart burn. I have found that with adding the Crystal Light I am able to drink it and they have all kinds of flavors.0

Oh, you most certainly can ... those first few weeks are critical ... cuz by then you'll usually have seen some progress and that is motivation in itself! But it is work ... but the payout is priceless!0

You can!! Start making gradual changes and be realistic. I hate water too, but I add propel packets to it which adds some flavor. Eating out kills you on the calories and weight gain, I am trying to stay away from eating out as best I can until I can control myself. You can do this!!0

you can do it!! im not sure if its realistic to lose all that weight before thanksgiving, but u can definitely lose weight before then. make small changes, like walking for 30mins a day. and if u stay within you calorie budget, you are sure to lose weight effortlessly! i know the feeling of sitting in front of the tv after a long day. i used to watch my shows and eat chips or ice cream...that transition was really hard for me!! but after u workout, you are more aware of the calories you burn and that motivates me to eat right. u can definitely lose weight with myfitnesspal! we will keep each other motivated lol0

Thanks to all of you. I am going to try using the Crystal Light for my water.0
