Restarting

In sept 2016 I decided to start my weight loss journey I was hugely successful and over the next year I lost 133 lbs and I was feeling really good about my self as I started this summer I felt I had learnt to self manage and be in control of my eating and exercise. So after more than 600 days of tracking I decided that I could do it on my own. But now here I sit 3 months later and 15lbs up I’m so upset with my self in the morning I will be starting over and losing that 15 lbs plus hopefully another 15lbs I’m so sad I was not able to do it and that tracking everything seems like it will be forever my way of life :( I’m going to do this even if it kills me!! I know I have the strength as I have done this before but this time is feeling very overwhelming.

Well, you can look at it this way: Tracking ensures that you eat appropriately, so it will more or less save your life (not "kill" you). If you want to stop tracking, it should be because you don't need it, because tracking has taught you how to eat appropriately for you, not because you "can't be bothered" anymore and not tracking means that you're finally able to go back to how you really like to eat. Tracking is a tool for awareness and easy control of food intake. So since you're labeling tracking "overwhelming", I have to wonder if you're making it harder than it has to be? Have you been restricting too much - calories, food choices, meal timing? Have you learned how to use the tools (food scale, food database, recipe builder, food diary) effectively?

You only gained back the teeny tiniest fraction of the weight you lost! I’d say acknowledging it now and making the changes is a huge success! You can so do this.
