Nuts Question - It's hard for me to find unsalted nuts (it shouldn't be this hard), and I was hoping someone would be able to tell me how to un-salt salted nuts? Side note, never have I ever used "nuts" so many times in one sentence haha)

Thanks!

I can tell you what not to do! I have tried rinsing peanuts and it turns the nuts wierd even after they have dried out for some time. Sorry to say I havent found a solution!

Hm, do you need to do that? Do you have to limit your sodium intake so much that you can't eat salted nuts? I would assume most salt comes from premade meals and all kinds of snacks, not just nuts. There must be easier ways. If you're willing to wash your nuts(!), are you willing to cook more from scratch?

Instead of looking for Nuts in the snack aisle try looking for Nuts in the home baking aisle. There should be unsalted available there.
The nuts are also cheaper there, and there is more variety. (YMMV of course.)

A lot of stores in our areas have started putting in bulk item bins - nuts, candies, granolas, etc. There are usually unsalted nuts there. Maybe there is a store near you that has these?

Trader Joe's. Best nuts at best price and they came in unsalted varieties.

Also tree nuts are usually better for you too.

I know that Sprouts has a lot of various unsalted nuts in bulk barrels. They also carry various nut butters that don't contain anything other than the nuts (almond, peanut, walnut, and cashew variets are common at my local Sprouts in both salted and unsalted).

Sprouts has nut bins! Raw, salted, roasted, etc. that’s where I buy mine. My favorite are raw pumpkin seeds!! So good!

Krogers has unsalted nuts too in bags. So does Meijers. You have to find raw nuts to find them unsalted (and they also don't have added vegetable oil, another plus). I only eat raw nuts/seeds. Almonds taste so different but I find that, now, I like the taste of raw almonds better than roasted/salted ones.

Another vote for Trader Joe's for selection and price.
