Vibration Plates

7 years ago I was in an accident that meant I have a metal pole in my left femur and a chain across my pelvis, moving on, this has now become very painful, to the point that I can't run anymore, and walking is becoming limited.
I bought a second hand vibration plate at the weekend because the price was too good to turn down. I have heard they are fantastic for joint pain, does anyone have any experience?
The machine says to use it for ten minutes a day, three times a day, will this help?

Also, I have heard that it can help you to lose weight, I want to strengthen my muscles and help my leg pain for one, but if it did help with weight loss, that's always a bonus.

P.S. I will be getting physiotherapy to help, but that's 50 days away, and I don't fancy being stuck on my bum for two months.

A friend was popped onto one of these, by the massage therapist. The friend has had really bad problems, and is lucky to be on his feet, let alone walking - he fell off a roof quite a number of years ago. The massage helps. He bought a vibration machine and has had success with it. I was inspired to do so, and it arrived yesterday. Have used it twice already. I feel I will be more inclined to use it, than having to go to the gym (I always feel I have to be at least presentable, unlike guys do - or is it don't?) and for what I am paying at they gym, the machine will have paid for itself in a year. Now, how many calories do they burn?
