Same Kind of Different as Me

    Bring tissues.

I think I need a good cry film. Thank you. 🤗

"P.S. I Love You" is a good one for that.

It was perfect. Exactly what I'd needed.
Thank you again @xFunctionalStrengthx. ONLY now, I want to go to Ireland. Next year cannot come quickly enough for me. It was meant to be London and back ... Nope, Ireland and Scotland too whilst I'm already over the pond.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it. It's definitely a tear jerker, and I don't mind saying that I cried a little watching it. I'll be jealous of you when you go over there. Friend of mine just spent two weeks in Scotland. Was so jealous of her...

I would take you along, only it's going to be boring initially, as my sister and I are heading that way for exams.

That was exactly how it was for me ... Teary moments.

Boring? Nah, always something to do if others are busy with other things. I'm one who enjoys checking out architecture, the city, people watching. History... If you're going in the summer, there's also the Highland Games in Scotland. Need a butler? I make a great purse hanger.

There was another tear jerker of a movie I saw not that long ago. But, don't recall what it was.

If you do remember it, tag me, when you've posted.

Awesome. We're going to buzz you around January, with all the dates we're required to be in London, so you may assess which dates correlates with your schedule. Yay! 👏👏👏. We're ones who always want to make it to Scotland for the Hogmanay run ... So, the Highland Games always is on our must do list.

Most definitely will tag you if I can remember what it is.

    Sounds like a plan. :)

I watched Book Club. While all the ladies except Candice Bergen look amazing, I thought the movie was dumb.

    HEREDITARY

Overall rating, 4 (on a scale of 1-10). For creepy, weird, WTF rating, 9.5
I LOVE Horror/Thrillers, and with my girl Toni Collette taking center stage I thought I would love it. Nope. There were a lot of "Oh so we not gonna' talk about what just happened right there" moments, and a very slow crawl of dread throughout ... UNTIL the last 30 min's.
If you've hung in there this long, you def gotta' stay now, cause these last minutes are probably gonna' stay with you even after the movie ends.
3 days later and me and my girl are still clickin' our tongues.

I too thought it was rather well made. My sister's man-friend suggested she watch it. I went into the film thinking, "OMG ... It's going to be like the movie "Swamp thing!"

Funny you mentioned Best Picture ... Thought the Mexican Director's style being reminiscent of Roberto Benigni.

    In my humble opinion,

The best director today is also from Mexico city. ...

    See.... Birdman & The Revenant

Most recently, Saturday, we went to see Unbroken: Path to Redemption. I was very impressed. The recent Pure Flix films made in partnership with major studios have been very good.

Several weeks ago we went to see Christopher Robin. We were well and thoroughly charmed by it.

Approach it with an open mind and an appreciation for both alagory and metaphor.

It's filmed beautifully with some amazing performances in front of the camera.

I've heard good and bad about it. But, generally I go into any movie with an open mind.

Kind of like "50 Shades". Depending on who you talk to, it's good or it's attrocious. Never seen it either.

I'm a film snob, so there are a ton of movies that I won't even consider.

Oh yeah, I liked Molly's Game a lot.

It dragged a little towards the end and was maybe 10 to 12 minutes too long but it's definitely worth your time.

It's a true story....... and stars Jessica Chastain (I'll watch most anything with her acting)

Agree with you Motorsheen. I did watch it when it initially came out. It's riveting storytelling of an actual retelling if someone's life. Chose it because of Idris Elba.
